Silver Pendant „NAJA“

This is a „NAJA“ pendant. „Naja“ is Navajo language and means „crescent“, because of the form of the pendant. The origins of the Naja goes far back. Over hundered years ago the Spanish and the Mexican decorated the horse bridles with the Naja symbol. It was a sign of protection for the animal. Later the Native Americans picked that design up and used it in their jewelry - till today! So this Naja pendant is a old symbol of protection. It can be worn by women and men. This particular piece here is solid made with lovely details like two small conchos and an evensided southwest cross on top.
