Silver Pendant „MOTHER MARY WITH CHILD“

New old devotionals. As I grew up in a deeply catholic influenced area, I always was confronted by those religious icons and saint’s depictions. These works are indeed wonderful pieces of art and craftsmanship. No wonder, that i feel consciously and unconsciously drawn to those figures and icons and feel the urge to make jewellery and spiritual talismans with them.
The „Mother Mary“ is a strong picture. This image here is very old and I recently stumbled over that exactly same picture on a flea market: i found an iron stove door with this motive. Amazing!
The details of this depiction are very detailed. Look at the faces and the little angels left and right. But that is not all. The top and bottom of the pendant are lovely decorated with balls, flowers and a tiny heart. The backside has gotten a fine star pattern, which fits perfectly to the mystic vibes of this piece.
All in all it’s a wonderful solid made 925 sterling silver piece, made to last at least a lifetime. For women and men.
