Hat „WILD PRAIRIE“, Black Felt Hat, Size 59cm

The „Wild Prairie“ hat is a all black rabbit felt hat. It has an open crown, which looks perfect on that style of hat. Of course the crown can be shaped to your favor afterwards, if you want. A wonderful brass Thunderbird charm is accentuating the black brim. These brass charms are handmade in my workshop as well. The brim is quite wide and got a beautiful pencil roll, which not only looks good but also stabilizes the brim to stay flat. Furthermore i made a black brim binding all around the brim. The fabric i used for that is a vintage one. The sweatband is entirely made by hand, using german quality „olive leather“. I suggest to store your hat on a flat surface while not worn on your head. That ensures your brim to stay flat and hold its shape. Of course hats can change their shape a bit depending on temperature, humidity and personal wearing habits. Not a problem, you can always reshape a felt hat using steam and a bit water.
The crown hight is about 16cm, the brim width is approximately 8-8,5cm.
Note: extreme heat (for example leaving your hat in your car in summer) can make your hat shrink. It will find its old size again over time, but such situations are to be avoided. Such as soaking the felt hat in rain. NO lining inside the hat.
PLEASE MEASURE YOUR HEAD CAREFULLY. If you are not sure, go to a local hat shop and ask them to measure your head. If you are doing at home, take a taylors tape, place it above your eye brows and go around your head. Not too tight, not too loose. Then you should be fine with your correct size.
